{"id":2890,"date":"2026-06-29T11:25:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T11:25:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theghani.com\/stg01\/?p=2890"},"modified":"2026-08-27T08:19:48","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T08:19:48","slug":"chicago-rockford-international-airport-enhances-dsv-partnership-through-luxembourg-service-launch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theghani.com\/stg01\/chicago-rockford-international-airport-enhances-dsv-partnership-through-luxembourg-service-launch\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicago Rockford International Airport Enhances DSV Partnership Through Luxembourg Service Launch"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/rfdcargo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chicago Rockford International Airport<\/a>&nbsp;(RFD) has expanded its partnership with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dsv.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DSV<\/a>&nbsp;following the launch of a new weekly freight service from Luxembourg (LUX), announced today at Air Cargo China in Shanghai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new service builds on the successful launch of DSV\u2019s existing weekly Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) to RFD service, strengthening RFD\u2019s position within global supply chains linking Europe, Asia, and the Americas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis expansion demonstrates the strength of our partnership with DSV, and reinforces Rockford\u2019s position as a premier cargo gateway for international trade,\u201d said Zack Oakley, Executive Director, RFD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cRockford offers a unique value proposition for logistics providers through our dedicated, uncongested, 24\/7 cargo operations, and we are proud to leverage this in support of DSV\u2019s expanding network.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DSV launched its weekly PVG-RFD service in November 2025 through its Shanghai Star Air Freight Charter programme, with RFD providing rapid access across North, Central, and South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cRockford has proven itself to be a valued partner through its dedicated cargo focus, reliable infrastructure, and operational consistency,\u201d said Stefan Krikken, Head of Airfreight \u2013 Global, DSV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe success of our Shanghai operation highlighted the strategic value of Rockford, and we have plans to further benefit from the airport\u2019s flexibility, fast transit times, and dependable access to key markets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DSV is evaluating further opportunities to expand connectivity through Rockford, including plans to introduce a new service linking Incheon International Airport (ICN), South Korea, with RFD later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representatives from both RFD and DSV are attending Air Cargo China, and RFD are exhibiting at Stand 164 in Hall 5.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chicago Rockford International Airport&nbsp;(RFD) has expanded its partnership with&nbsp;DSV&nbsp;following the launch of a new weekly freight service from Luxembourg (LUX), announced today at Air Cargo China in Shanghai.
